The first thing I did in cinema 4d was exit perspective mode and make sure I can see all four screens, then I selected the cube from the primitive shapes. This will be the robot's body.

I moved the cube up slightly so I would have more room for the other parts. I then made a copy of the cube and scaled it down for the head, I then positioned this cube above the previous cube.

I then made a copy of the head and made the object editable by pressing this button.
After the object was editable, I used the scale tool to lengthen the cube to make on of the arms. I then positioned it next to the body.

I made three more copies of the arm object and without scaling them, I moved them so one was positioned on the other side of the body and the other two were positioned underneath for the legs.

Next i had to make the face for the robot. Creating another cube, I scaled it down and positioned it on the head of the robot. I created two copies, the first copy went on the other side of the robot's head. The second copy was made editable and using the scale tool was lengthened to create the robot's mouth.

After the robot was modelled, it needed textures. I could find the textures here in content browser. The textures I would need is sky, grass, glass and two metals, one darker than the other.

I added the lighter metal to the robot's arms, body, head and legs. The darker metal was used for the mouth. The glass's colour was changed to red and I added a luminance and took away the transparency. I then added this texture to the eyes. In this view though the eyes don't look like they have gone red but they have.
Next i added a sky and floor from the scene tab. The sky and grass texture will be used here, the sky for the sky and the grass for the floor.
Once that is done then the robot is finished, render it and this is the result.
