Tardis (10th)
To create the frame of the tardis, I started of with a cube. I made the cube editable and scaled it flat. I then selected four corner faces of the cube and extruded them the create the outer frame.
To create the top of the tardis, I created a cube and made it editable. I then scaled it so that it fits the size of the four extruded columns and then scaled it flat. I then copied that cube three more times and scaled them smaller than the other. I then positioned them above the others to create the roof of the tardis.
To be able the create the walls of the tardis I first needed to create the wood that separates the doors and walls. To do that I created a cube and made it editable I then scaled it so that it connects to both the base and roof of the tardis. I copied this cube three more times and positioned them in the middle of the four walls.
To create the wall, I started with a cube and made it editable. I the scaled it thin and to the size of the tardis. To create the indents on the wall I created six cubes and scaled them to size. I then positioned them so that they were part way into the wall. I then used a boole tool to create the indents.
I did this two more time so that I had the three outer walls. The front door would be slightly different so I only made the other two.
To create the front door I started similar to the walls. I created a cube and made it editable then scaled it to the size of the tardis and made it flatter. I then created eight other cubes and position six part way in the door and the top two on the door not in. I then scaled all cubes flatter and booled the bottom six. I then created six cubes and scaled them smaller to fit the windows and become the wood that separates the little windows. I then mapped on the texture of the sign on the top left cube of the indents to make it look like the sign is on the tardis.
I then added the finishing touches like the handle which I created using the extrude and rotate method on a cube. I also made the keyhole which I made form many cylinders and a spline for the actual hole. I then added a cube on the top of the tardis above the windows and mapped on the police box sign. To create the light I started with a cylinder to create the glass bulb. I then used two cones to create the part on top of bulb and created cylinders to connect that piece with the roof of the tardis. For the light I added a lens effect by changing glow to blue 2.
